Beautifully vibrant and colourful print titled Anarkali by London based British-Iranian contemporary artist Mariam Tafsiri. Inspired by Persian miniature paintings, poetry and art from the Qajar era, in particular unibrowed women who present a very different concept of beauty to that regularly portrayed in popular media. This piece features Pomegranates which are a culturally symbolic fruit often used in Persian art to represent blessings, abundance and immortality.
